Fully Synthetic Oil vs Semi Synthetic Oil
Synthetic oils for your vehicle are specially designed to provide a more consistent, superior performance for your vehicle. Choosing between a fully synthetic oil and a semi synthetic oil can be difficult, especially if you're not sure what the differences are. However, Formula One Autocentres' specialist oil supplement provides benefits that will extend the life of your engine and reduce fuel consumption.
Due to certain emission systems, your vehicle may require a more specialist engine oil, like a fully synthetic or low SAPS (long life). These engine oils have various additives to help protect your engine, aid low emissions and assist with longer service intervals.
Semi-synthetic oils are less expensive than fully-synthetic oil, however, they do not provide the same levels of performance and engine protection.
How to find out what oil my car needs
We can assist you if you are still unsure about the type of oil your vehicle requires. Because we can't determine whether your vehicle requires this type of engine oil when you book your service online, we recommend that you either check your handbook or contact your local centre who will check this for you.
There will be an additional charge of £25.00 if your vehicle requires specialised car engine oil, which is payable on the day of your Service appointment.
